Worship Overview

Sunday Morning Worship Services

Life at East Union centers around meaningful worship. Every Sunday we gather to praise God, through singing, praying, hearing & responding to God’s Word. Energized together by God’s Holy Spirit, we look forward to serving Christ in all those places we have been called. We offer a style & service of worship to feed your soul.

Our CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP is held at 8:30 a.m. in the EUCC and features our Praise Band, projected images and lyrics, breakfast treats & beverages.

We gather for TRADITIONAL WORSHIP at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Moving sacred music led by organ or piano and our Sunday Singers, responsive liturgy and projected images enhance this more formal worship experience.

Family-Friendly!

Both Contemporary and Traditional Worship are designed to be family-friendly. Each service features a regular “Children’s Chat” and afterwards children may take a worship tote, filled with crayons, coloring book, games and snack. Both services also offer unstaffed toddler playrooms, to which parents may go, at any time, with their children.

Our FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS meet at 11 a.m. in the EUCC for an inspiring worship service designed for those with disabilities and their caregivers. This unique format features much music with projected lyrics and images. Worshipers participate in all aspects of this informal service, sometimes leading prayers and giving testimonies. All are welcome to join this amazing Sunday experience.

Join us for worship. You will be blessed when you come…and we will be blessed with your presence!

Summer Unity Worship

Each summer Sunday we meld our Contemporary and Traditional Services and meet together at 9:30am. Most services are held in our Founders’ Chapel, however we worship outside in our Pavilion several times during the season. Music leadership varies throughout the summer between Contemporary and Traditional.

On outdoor Sundays, many bring lawn chairs or blankets and set them out around the pavilion. Bring your family and worship with us this summer -- it’s a great way to start your summer week!

Seasonal Services

East Union holds special worship services during the seasons of Lent (before Easter) and Advent (before Christmas). These include creative services like Ash Wednesday’s Imposition of Ashes, Maundy Thursday’s Last Supper re-enactment and our annual Children’s Christmas Pageant, written by our Pastor Jo. Special services offer different experiences than the normal Sunday service, often incorporating more drama or including an interactive activity.
