Children's Ministries

“Children are God’s best gift!”
(Psalm 127 ~ The Message)

East Union is a great place to grow up in God!
We love children, and include them in all aspects of life and ministry East Union Church!

Worship

Family-Friendly Worship, with messages and music appealing to all ages, stands as a top-priority at East Union. Children are welcome and encouraged to participate in worship as they dance, read, move and share during church. Children play a visible role in a variety of ways -- through collecting the offering, helping the pastors celebrate the sacraments, acting out the scripture and assisting on special holidays such as Palm Sunday, Pentecost, and World Communion. They also participate in a weekly Children’s Chat during worship.

Seasonal Blessings mark significant passages and honor precious possessions in the lives of our children by asking for God’s guidance and care. East Union offers a Blessing of the Backpacks, Blessing of the Graduates, Blessing of the Animals and Blessing of the Bikes. House Blessings are also available upon request.

Worship Totes and Library Books are available at Contemporary and Traditional Worship services. Children are also welcome to help at Faithful Followers. An unstaffed Nursery/Toddler Playroom is available at both Contemporary and Traditional Worship as needed.

Kaleidoscope Kids children’s choir meets throughout the year between our worship services. All children are invited to participate as the little ones sing and ring colorful bells at our various Worship Services. Phyllis Passarella directs the Kaleidoscope Kids.
